On June 2, 2026, the Metropolitan Police Department arrested three Chinese nationals — two men and a woman — on suspicion of robbery resulting in injury, alleging they stole 21.85 million yen in cash on a street near a watch buying shop in Ginza, Chuo Ward, Tokyo, and pressed a stun gun against the abdomen of a 20-year-old man, causing injuries requiring two weeks to heal. The crime is said to have occurred on the evening of March 31 of the same year.
According to the investigation, the male victim, who had become acquainted with the suspects through a mutual contact, asked to sell a Rolex watch and visited the buying shop together with one of the suspects.
